As non-invasive and gentle as Lymph Drainage and equally complimentary, Brain_Therapy is a unique way to help balance the nervous system, associated structures, and reset pesky symptoms.  Most clients claim to have restored hope and new possibilities for health after receiving Dr. Chikly's Brain_Therapy.  Unlike cranial sacral therapy, Brain Therapy moves beyond concentrating on the movement of the cranial bones and works extensively with the brain tissues, glands, and structures to specifically support proper brain function.

What Can Brain_Therapy Help With?

This gentle but powerful manual therapy technique stimulates plasticity (the brains ability to change at any age). It may assist with many other learning, mental, emotional, and structural issues caused by trauma, injury, stress, chronic long term infection and inflammation (including long COVID, Lyme and Autoimmune issues), structural stress such as scoliosis, headaches, and other issues that don't seem to resolve with traditional bodywork therapies such as massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, & cranial sacral work.  The receipt of Brain_Therapy prior to other self -care almost always ensures better results of other types of bodywork, breathwork, meditation.  Just one example is that clients notice chiropractic adjustments last longer.

Injury to the Brain

After a fall, hit, Motor Vehicle (MVA) or Bike accident, or other injury to the head and Brain, this disturbance can have a profound impact on the rest of the body.  Not only will the brain now be in a constant "protect itself" mode but as the limitations on our mobility of the neck and other areas begin to occur, it is common to actually have the misalignment of parts of the brain structure (such as the cerebellum) begin to pull or create tension throughout the covering of the brain, the brain stem, and all the way down to the sacrum, organs, pelvis and eventually the knees, ankles and so on.  The effect of an imbalance in the brain can and will eventually be felt system wide and directly effects mood, digestion, sleep, mental outlook, pain levels, ability to handle stress and so much more.

The Glymphatic System

This system is basically what we call the lymphatic system of the central nervous system.  It is the transport system for the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system and is how debris and metabolic waste is removed from these areas!  Our brain is only 2% of our body weight but it uses 40% of our body's nutrients and is also comprised of 30% water and 25% blood flow.  Thus, the Glymphatic system is critical to trash collection and helps the brain to keep the clear and strategic communication with every cell, organ, and system of our body.

The glymphatic system is most active during sleep to repair and clear inflammation.  A healthy system protects our cognition and reduces our risk of neurodegenerative diseases.  When working correctly, the glymphatic system prevents headaches, keeps mental clarity & energy levels, lowers anxiety and pain.  Even the smallest changes in this system (via Brain_Therapy) can sometimes have exponentially positive effects on our overall health and emotional wellbeing.

How is Brain_Therapy Different?

Practitioners of Dr. Chikly's Brain Therapy learn to release brain-centered restrictions as well as the damaging effects that these restrictions may cause.  A session with a Brain Therapy practitioner may address the Electro-Magnetic field (EMF) of the brain, emotions, fluid/ventricles, glymphatic /lymphatic, toxins, cranial bones, cranial membranes, grey and white matter, reflexes, and more.

Clients will often indicate they are feeling mentally sharp but deeply relaxed after receiving this work.  It is wise to schedule integration time such as and time to walk in fresh are after Brain_Therapy.  It is NOT advised that you return directly to a busy day afterward.  LymphWorks' practitioners recommend, just like receiving Lymph Drainage Therapy, to arrive well hydrated for Brain Work so that the Glymphatic System can clear the toxins and debris with your new and improved circulation in the brain.

Brain Therapy at LymphWorks is as gentle as Lymph Drainage & Cranial Sacral work.  Therapist C.J. McDaniel is provider of this work.
